Terms of Service
Last updated: August 23, 2026 — What's changed: Reconciliation against the current codebase, matching the Privacy Policy's own August 20 reconciliation. The previous version only mentioned the original single-operator dashboard and said nothing about the customer account/ request system, the customer portal, or license/installation activation — all of which now exist in the running system. "Acceptable use" now covers the customer portal and license activation explicitly.
Kept short and honest, matching what this site actually is.
What this is
Neo Innovations is a portfolio/demonstration project showcasing a face recognition access-monitoring system. It is not currently offered as a commercial, production service, and nothing on this site constitutes a service agreement or SLA of any kind.
Beyond the public pages and the original single-operator dashboard, this system also includes a customer account/request flow: a Request Access form, admin-reviewed approval, a customer portal, and installation licensing (an Installation ID and a License Certificate that ties an installation to an account and a camera-count entitlement). Everything in this section applies equally to that system — it does not change the "demonstration project, not a commercial service" framing above.
No warranty
This system is provided "as is," at an early development phase, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including no warranty of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose. In particular, it has not been validated for security-critical, real-world access-control deployment: see the README's threat model and the About / Tech page for current, specific known limitations (including that formal accuracy benchmarking across demographics has not been done, and that liveness detection covers only a static-photo/screen spoof — not a video replay or a physical mask).
Acceptable use
The public pages, contact form, demo footage, gated dashboard, and customer portal are provided for informational and evaluation purposes. Don't:
- Attempt to circumvent, probe, or bypass authentication, rate limiting, or any other access control on the gated parts of this system (the operator dashboard, the customer portal, or their API routes).
- Submit another person's photo or biometric data for enrollment without that person's knowledge and consent.
- Attempt to disrupt the service (e.g. abusive scraping, denial-of-service) or gain unauthorized access to any account or data.
- Attempt to activate, transfer, or use a License Certificate or Installation ID that wasn't issued to your own account, or attempt to exceed the camera-count entitlement your account was actually granted.
- Use this system, or any biometric data processed by it, in a way that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction.
Dashboard, portal, and installation credentials (including a License Certificate) are for the authorized operator or account holder they were issued to only.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Neo Innovations and its operator are not liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from use of this system, including but not limited to misidentification, false acceptance/rejection, or reliance on this system for physical access control or security decisions. This is a demonstration project; treat it accordingly.
Data
See the Privacy Policy for what data is collected, how it's stored, and your rights (including requesting deletion of enrolled data).
